The Entrepreneurs of Ideals Award was founded by Manolo Betancur, a businessman born in Carmen de Viboral, a renowned philanthropist and social activist in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. For Manolo these awards are a dream come true after emigrating to the United States more than 20 years ago. It is the seed that I had always wanted to sow.

Who is behind the award
Manolo Betancur, owner of Manolo’s Bakery. He was named “The Hero of Bread” by winning the World Bread Hero USA 2021 award given by the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE). He is the owner of Manolo’s Latin Bakery, a retired Colombian Navy officer, a graduate of King’s University in Tennessee and Stanford University in California.
